Susan Black-Beth is the Chief Operating Officer of Avante Capital Partners. As such, she is primarily charged with: recruiting, retaining and leading the team; being the culture champion; launching new product offerings; supporting investor relations/fundraising; spearheading Avante’s DEI efforts, including the impactful SBIS Summer Internship Program; deal sourcing; participating in due diligence; providing insights to the Investment Committee; and actively engaging in board roles, as needed. Susan has 20+ years of experience as an operator, Founder and entrepreneur. She is known as a consummate leader of both people and strategies. She previously served as the COO of NRD Capital, a private equity fund focused on investing in franchise and multi-location businesses. Susan received the International Franchise Association’s (IFA) prestigious Bonny LeVine Award in 2012; she is the proud recipient of the 2013 Crystal Compass presented by the IFA’s Women’s Franchise Committee; was named by 1851 Magazine as a “Young One to Watch” in 2016; was named a 2017 “Emerging Leader” by The M&A Advisor, was recognized as a 2018 “Influential Woman in Business” by The Daily Herald; was selected as one of 2019’s “Most Influential Women in Middle Market M&A” by Mergers & Acquisitions magazine, as well as being named a 2021 Honorable Mention; and in 2022 was named a “Top Influential Woman in Franchising” by Entrepreneur.
