Lisa Piercey, MD, MBA, is a nationally recognized physician executive with extensive C-suite operational experience across the healthcare ecosystem. A serial healthcare investor, Dr. Piercey serves as a general partner in multiple funds and is the Founder and Managing Partner of Tristela Capital Partners, a healthcare-focused lower middle market independent sponsor firm. She is also the author of the bestselling book, Natural-Born Entrepreneurs: Breaking into Business Ownership, a guide for professionals seeking to transition into entrepreneurship through acquisition. Dr. Piercey previously served on Governor Bill Lee’s Cabinet as the Commissioner of Health for Tennessee and was the Executive Vice President of the nation’s 9th largest public, not-for-profit health system, where she led clinical operations, strategic growth, and population health initiatives. After earning her B.S. in Chemistry from Lipscomb University, where she was also an NCAA D-1 college athlete, Dr. Piercey received her M.D. from East Tennessee State University and an M.B.A. from Bethel University. She is board-certified in both General Pediatrics and Child Abuse Pediatrics.
