Shekman, Jane

Jane Shekman is an experienced executive with a demonstrated and successful history of working in the life sciences and health care industry.

Her career is hallmarked by innovation and introduction of new concepts and new methodologies in post- acute care. Her personal track record is highlighted with working with industry leaders and early adopters to pioneer new and advanced concepts. She is known as a problem-solver who builds strategic solutions with sustainable and scalable results. Jane is internationally versed, and has lived on three continents.

Jane’s early career was with Takeda Pharmaceuticals, where she led their global clinical and data analytics systems implementations across US, England and Japan. Being an entrepreneur at heart and having experienced gaps in care while helping her family members she co-founded LifeCare Home Health Services, a busines that provided 360 care approach with a wide spectrum of intergraded services at home for patients at any stage of their life. Jane built LifeCare into a multi-million revenue operation and sold the company to a strategic buyer.

Following a successful exit from her LifeCare home health, home nursing, home infusion, homecare, outpatient therapy, telehealth, chronic and remote care management business, Jane uses her experience as a to now focus on investment opportunities, consulting and philanthropic interests.
Jane continues her strategic guidance to LifeCare in the Advisory Board member role. Jane founded JS Healthcare Advisory to guide companies and boards in healthcare, wellness, aging, life sciences, and technology industries on strategic planning, product/ services positioning for maximized revenue growth, technological innovation, operational efficiencies, and regulatory compliance.

She has been active in community services and Boards and is available for select Board engagements. During her recent board engagement with Homecare & Hospice Council she actively worked with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Departments on Aging, Public Health and Human Services to advocate for post-acute care providers and patients. She served as the delegate to the National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC) to develop a strategic roadmap for the future of the industry. Thorough her career Jane has consulted on the matters of industry trends, policies, regulations, compliance and innovative solutions in the wellness, aging, post-acute care and technology sectors.

She completed her Executive Masters in Healthcare Administration from the University of Southern California Sol Price School of Public Policy. She is a standing member in the American Association of the Healthcare Executives and holds a Fellow certification, (FACHE). She has been active in community services and Boards and is available for select Board engagements.

Personally, Jane enjoys traveling with her family and two children and playing golf. Jane is a member of the LPGA Amateur Golf Association and keeps busy playing on the traveling team as weather permits in Chicago.
